Mark EdlundExecutive Director & Treasurer
Mark is a native of Colorado. Before coming to his present role he and his wife served as International Mission Board missionaries in Asia for 17 years. Mark has a bachelor of Art from Baylor University, a master’s degree from Denver University and a doctor of ministry from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Kristy and they have two grown children, Hans and Anna.
Prior to becoming an IMB missionary, Mark was a teacher in Commerce City, CO; teacher and athletic director in Belgium; teacher and assistant principal in Jefferson County School District, Lakewood, CO.
Mark and Kristy were appointed by the Foreign Mission Board as missionaries to Japan in 1984. As a missionary, Mark served as school administrator/teacher in Kitakyushu, Japan, Mission Administrator, Tokyo, Japan, and Regional Administrative for the Pacific Rim.
On April 1, 2001, Mark began serving Colorado Baptists as the Executive Director/Treasurer, Colorado Baptist General Convention (CBGC); Executive Director of the Baptist Foundation of Colorado; Executive Director of the Ponderosa Retreat and Conference Center; Editor of the Rocky Mountain Baptist; and CBGC interface with the Golden Gate Theological Seminary, Rocky Mountain Regional Campus.
